Audition Repertoire Requirements
Piano accompaniment is not required. Please submit two recordings that show your musical abilities. Cuts between excerpts are fine.
Violin
- First movement exposition from a standard repertoire concerto, such as Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Bruch, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Wieniawski, Vieuxtemps or Dvorak.
- Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of your choice.
Viola
- First movement exposition from a standard repertoire concerto, such as Hoffmeister, Stamitz, Bartok, Walton or Casadesus.
- Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of your choice.
Cello
- First movement exposition from a standard repertoire concerto, such as Haydn, Elgar or Dvorak.
- Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of your choice.
Double Bass
- First movement exposition from a standard repertoire concerto, such as Bottesini, Koussevitzky, Tubin, Dittersdorf or Hoffmeister.
- Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of your choice.
Harp
- First movement exposition from a standard repertoire concerto, such as Handel, Mozart, Debussy, Ravel or Ginastera.
- Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of your choice.
