Audition Repertoire Requirements
Piano accompaniment is not required. Please submit two recordings that show your musical abilities. Cuts between excerpts are fine.
Flute (Piccolo optional)
- First movement exposition from a standard repertoire concerto, such as Mozart, Stamitz, Devienne, Nielsen or Ibert.
- Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of your choice.
- If auditioning with piccolo, include a contrasting piccolo excerpt.
Oboe
- First movement exposition from a standard repertoire concerto, such as Mozart, Bellini, Krommer, Vaughan Williams or R. Strauss.
- Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of your choice.
Clarinet
- First movement exposition from a standard repertoire concerto, such as Mozart, Weber, Copland, Nielsen, Finzi, Krommer or Stamitz.
- Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of your choice.
Bassoon
- First movement exposition from a standard repertoire composition, such as a Mozart concerto or Saint-Saens sonata.
- Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of your choice.
