AUDITIONS
All auditions for SOA will be evaluated for BOA casting, our partner academy, and vice versa.
AUDITIONS BY RECORDING: Required Repertoire: Please submit 2 arias in varying style and language, demonstrating the range of your desired roles.
Video links (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) are preferred but audio (Soundcloud, etc.) are accepted. Submissions do not need to be of professional recording quality.
INTERVIEW & RESULTS
Successful auditionees will participate in an online video interview. Invitations will be sent by email. Acceptance to SOA is cast on a rolling basis. The time frame in which you can expect a result will vary. SOA appreciates your patience and requests that you please notify our administration of any pressing personal deadlines.

Thanks to our donors, we are able to offer over € 60,000 in scholarships to successful applicants which goes towards tuition and accommodation. See below for scholarship application information.
€ 5450: Singer Tuition € 5750: Singer Tuition & Transportation Package or Wine Tour € 6050: Singer Tuition, Transportation Package & Wine Tour
Transportation Package: we purchase your train travel from Torino or Milano to Savigliano, then drive you to your accommodation.
Wine Tour: a day-excursion to two Italian wineries. On the day you will also visit an Italian castle and village, have a multi-course lunch featuring local Piedmont cuisine (paired with wine, of course), and get chauffeured around in a private, air-conditioned bus.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
To apply for a scholarship, please prepare a brief letter of request to upload in the appropriate section of your application. Financial assistance is available in a range of sums, starting at 200€ and going up to a limited number of full-tuition scholarships. Please specify exactly the amounts of scholarship for which you are applying.
In your letter, please include other sources of financial support, such as crowd-funding, fundraising concerts, fundraising dinners, completed applications for local scholarships, and other means of support.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of artistic merit and financial need, as well as casting requirements for each opera. Oversubscribed roles are unlikely to attract successful scholarship applications. Undersubscribed roles are more likely to be successful. We have scholarships available for all genders, ages and roles and particularly encourage male singers of merit to apply.
